talk and demonstration on Council's approach to the ageing population within the Sutherland Shire

 Reverent Bill Crews of the Exodus Foundation gave an interesting talk on the day to day operation
of the Exodus Foundation, the number of meals dispersed daily and the assistance given to needy
displaced persons and of the schooling given to children of need

Our meeting was something to remember. Joanne Jarvis, Principal, welcomed us all and gave an
insight into the evolution of education today. Introducing us to the likes of blog, wki, tag, and chat
room, to mention a few. She also pointed out the enormous benefits of computerisation and also its
downside. After our meeting we were entertained by school students, firstly with magnificent finger
food, followed by an Orchestral Recital. A meeting we shall not forget in a hurry

the various space flights and the individuals involved was certainly eye opening

 Moya Turner, NSW Seniors Peer Education Centre "Beyond Maturity Blues" spoke on the information
available for older people to increase their awareness of depression and where to go for help. The
fact is that it is curable and/or manageable condition

 Roz Baker gave a very entertaining talk and shared with us some of her life experiences.
She enthralled us with some of her bush poetry and enlightened us with the pros and cons of
being a writer and self publisher

 Marrianne Schryver
 Marrianne Schryver from the Salvation Army, Engadine Corps gave us an insight into the
functions of the Salvation Army. Its Christian base and social operations established by
their founder William Booth
