“Gordo’s” Quote For The Month:

Georgie Porgy puddin and pie,

Kissed the girls and made them cry.

And when the boys came out to play,

He kissed them too, 'cause he was gay

Friday 5th June 2020 (Author Bruce Magee)

Today’s game was played in great weather after a very cold start but this did not affect some players like Phil B turning up in shorts and Harry M with a tee shirt on. Unfortunately, we had 4 cancellations due to DIY jobs, hoping they recover for our next game. At the end of the game we met up at the seats near the 1st hole and soaked up the sun until we noticed Neville Hill dragging his right leg. It was then he told us a ball with the letter “B” marked on it hit him. The “B” was now on Nev’s leg, and just then Barry (note the initial “B”) had just spilt his hot coffee on his crutch. It was so nice of Nev not to be upset or blaming anyone. He was just going to let his legal team look after things. The good news for Barry is that bad things come in threes. First, he drove a golf cart into a bunker on Wednesday, now he has the legal matter with the ball, and then followed by the hot coffee on his crutch. So, Barry has nothing to worry about, I think.

NEXT GAME: Friday 3rd July at Boomerang Golf Course with tee-off at 8.00am, so please try to arrive by 7.40am.  New players are most welcome to come along and enjoy a great morning on the golf course.
