January  Hello walkers, contrary to what I mentioned last month, there is NO WALK in January. I forgot that we normally have December and January off. Our first walk for 2022 will hopefully be Monday 28th February, provided we can safely venture out, Omicron conditions ruling our lives at the moment. I will let you know next meeting one way or the other, stay safe
March  Hello walkers, well the weather curtailed last months walk, but hopefully our trip to the
Old Coal Loader at Waverton can go ahead this month on Monday March 28th
Catch the 2nd last carriage Heathcote 8-38am, Engadine 8-41am, Loftus 8-45am,
Sutherland 8-48am. As usual bring your lunch and water and a mask for the train trip and
maybe enjoy a day out in the sunshine?
April  Hello walkers, once again our March walk coincided with a rainy day and the walk for
April should have been on the 25th, but being ANZAC Day I have decided to move our walk day to
Monday 2nd May, hoping that will fit with anyone looking forward to venturing to the Waverton
Coal Loader, which has been postponed numerous times due to bad weather. Fingers crossed we
will have a fine day. Catch the 2nd last train carriage at: Heathcote 8-38am, Engadine 8-41am, Loftus 8-45am, and Sutherland 8-48am. Don’t forget your lunch, mask, water and OPAL CARD.
Unfortunately, the May walk won’t be on the last Monday as I will be away, so pencil it in for
Monday 23rd May, catching the train to Cronulla, then bus to Kurnell for a walk round Cape
Solander, details in next month’s newsletter. I hope you can get your heads around all the
confusion, Cheers, John
May  Hello walkers, well we finally had a fine day for 7 of us to enjoy the great outdoors,
venturing to the Coal Loader at Waverton where we explored the storage tunnels and wharf as
well as the Naval training station Waterhen. After a snack break, we made our way through the
streets to Wendy’s Secret Garden, enjoying the tranquil setting in the middle of suburbia to relax
for lunch. Our next destination, Milsons Point Wharf, allowed us a walk through Luna Park and a
coffee stop then a short break before catching the Ferry to Circular Quay, from where we walked
to Martin Place Station for the trip home.
Monday 23rd May - Our walk for this month will be to Kurnell. Hopefully the weather will be fine
as we walk around the National Park area and may even spot a whale or two migrating north.
Catch the 2nd last train carriage at:
Heathcote 8-38am, Engadine 8-41am, Loftus 8-45am, and Sutherland 8-48am.
