Noel would like to see more response for his efforts in organising the special events that he spends a lot of time and effort into arranging for our benefit.

April 2015

 The “Songs of the Heart” show at Sutherland Entertainment Centre has been cancelled, due to the lack of suitable seats available, a refund of the deposits will be made at today’s meeting.
I hope all enjoyed Les Miserables. I have only received positive feedback about the show.
The only list available at present is for “Matilda”. There are 22 seats available.

Itinerary: Silver City Tours will be looking after us while we are in Broken Hill. City Sights & Heritage Tour, Whites Mineral Mining Museum, Taste of the Outback, White Cliffs opal fields, Silverton Ghost Town, Sunset Sculpture Symposium Tour, Menindee Lakes & Kinchega National Park. They have also arranged an inspection of the Broken Hill RFDS on the Sunday afternoon after we have been to Silverton.  
Cost: $1,198 pp twin share (minus the $100 Deposit = Total $1,098)

Arrangements have been made with Shire Shuttle Coaches for our transfers from Home/Train & Train/Home for $35 pp - (Payment for Shuttle due August)

You can email Wendy or Gordon letting us know it has been transferred.  Please do so before our July 21st meeting. Cheques & Cash are also fine. We are finally off to Broken Hill. Everybody has their pick-up time table for Shire Shuttle and has paid their $35.

  1. The prices are based on a maximum of 48 and a minimum 40 passengers and there are 47 names already. Don’t be discouraged put your name on the waiting list, your chances of going are good.
  2. The bus departs Anzac Oval at 8.00am on Sunday 11th September 2016 (members are responsible for getting themselves to the bus). This is a bus trip over two days one way. We stay at Bellingen Valley Lodge going & coming home.

NOVEMBER UPDATE

       i.        At the December meeting I will be handing out BLUE sheets which will explain all the pros & cons concerning deposits, refunds & when they have to be collected etc.   The bottom half of the sheet will need to be filled in and returned when you pay your deposit in February 2016, this is required by Coach Holidays.
      ii.        Deposit:  $200 will be required at February 2016 meeting along with the bottom part of the blue form.

     iii.        Re double & single rooms:  there are a lot of you doubling up and there are  few requiring single rooms,  please let me know who is with who so I get the correct amount of Single & Double rooms.

DECEMBER UPDATE

      i.        At our December meeting I handed out folders to those coming on the trip, the blue forms inside MUST be filled in and handed in with your deposit or we won’t be able to accept your deposit. This is a requirement of the Bus Co. The top section of the form contains all the info you need to know about the deposit and refunding of monies if for some reason you can’t go. It also tells you who to make the cheque payable to. Kathy will speak to you if she needs more info.

     ii.        There is a lot of you that twin share and I think we have that covered. If you are a married couple & require twin beds just circle twin beds etc.

  1. Please let Kathy or Cheryl know if you no longer want to go as we have quite a few on the waiting list.
