September We were well represented at the Bowls Day hosted by Miranda Probus last month, and had a most enjoyable afternoon.

We are looking at having a Barefoot Bowls Day in November to encourage the non-bowlers to get out on the Greens for a bit of fun. More information and nomination sheet will be available next month.

October Proposed barefoot bowls day will not proceed at this stage due to lack of numbers. We will try again in the new year.
November
December The next Bowls Day will be hosted by our club in the latter part of March.

A recent Bowls Recruitment Day was held and, from all reports was lots of fun, with our new club Bowls Coordinator introducing initiatives to keep everyone interested. Ron will talk more of this at the January meeting to see if our non-bowling members would like us to arrange a similar event. There is no commitment to become a bowler but don’t leave it too late as so many people say “I wish I’d started earlier”.
